Organising and Campaigning
The main aims of the BWTUC is to ensure that workers are organised into Trade Unions and that we are at the forefront of campaigning for ordinary peoples rights in and around Battersea and Wandsworth.
We believe that Trades Councils up and down the country should be at the heart of community campaigning and with the support of affiliated branches BWTUC aims to lead the way in organising workers and acting as a campaigns tool for local people.
The BWTUC achieve this through the work of the Organising Centre and their full time staff, funded by the Workers Beer Company. The aim of the OC is to identify campaigns and organising opportunities and carry out that work with the support of local branches.
