Swingeing Cuts for Wandsworth of £43 million A leaked document from a Conservative Group meeting detailed a proposed list of cuts that could be considered in council committees between September 2014 andJanuary 2015. Over twenty things appeared on the list including the closure of Tooting Bec running track, a leisure centre in Battersea , two day centres (sincereported to be Gwyneth Morgan and Randall Close), and the anti-graffitiservice.

- Build for a demonstration that we are planning for theevening of 27 th November outside Wandsworth Town Hall.

Who are we:
This meeting is convened by WandsworthAgainst cuts who are a community based group of diverse background, united inopposition to cuts in services and the progressive dismantling andprivatization of services by Wandsworth Council. Over the last three years wehave campaigned against closure of libraries, adventure playgrounds, OneO'clock clubs, cuts to youth provision, school crossing patrols, and againstpay to play schemes and the eviction of tenants following the riots in ClaphamJunction. We have planning meetings regularly in various parts of the borough.
